butterfly

I love using butterflies, this card is a simple design though it was a faff in craft artist trying to get the punches right.

design paper - Fripperies & Butterflies
silver Stickles
white card
digi punch

Imported the paper into a blank page (a6 size) and used a square punch to punch the first border out of the paper, then decreased the size of the punch to do the second, thinner border. Found a lovely butterfly punch and used that to make the butterfly, which whilst still highlighted I used the decoupage button on - to give it a layered look. Googled butterfly quotes, and used my favourite of what came up, using a favourite font Crazy Girlz.
Opened an A4 page, copied and pasted everything from one to the other and then printed out, cut out, and then pasted onto the card blank, stickled randomly on the white space with silver glitter glue, and also round the edges of the butterfly. found some copper wire and fashioned a small piece into the antennae (sp?) of the butterfly.

pretty in lilac

atc made using a Gecko Galz image, a piece of lace and a few gems. I printed the image out twice so I could do a little bit of decoupage on the atc, cut out the little sentiment and stuck that on, so the surface wasn't going to be all flat.
googled the meaning of flowers - there's a link on my crafty places page to a lovely site which goes through all the flowers and their meanings.

love eternal

I've used this quote from Abraham Lincoln before, but thought it would be perfect to go with this layout I made using the Daisy Trail digikit 'Vintage Valentine'

Vintage Valentine digikit by Daisy Trail
image from Lunagirl

Added red roses as they were mum's favourite..... and the pigeon?? - just because ; )

The colour of the whole design was taken from the image, the background paper is actually placed on top of everything (apart from the writing) and then made gradually translucent so you can still see everything.

circus!

This was a quick card to make, the image came from the web, I layered it onto some red mirror card to make a sturdy topper. The backing paper came from American Crafts 'Lovely Day' paper kit. I decoupaged the balls onto it - from another paper in the kit.

friendship

This was the card I did for February's Friendship swap over on Do-Crafts paper craft forum.

the topper and the decoupaged flowers came from Debbi Moore Designs vintage floral range and was perfect for the vintage style card I wanted to do. Added a doily and a few gems and the card was fininshed.
