feeling blue...

Not much crafting (or anything else) being done as I'm not very well at the moment, Andrew thinks I have a virus, I think if I was a horse I would have been shot a long time ago and the doctor - well he doesn't think anything as I haven't been able to get an appointment with them, have been trying since tuesday morning. I can have a pre booked one for Friday 28th though.......errr let me think......no.

purple murtle of course!

Another card, a different main colour - purple! Couldn't pass this weeks challenge by at Polka Doodles. Murtle would never have let me hear the last of it!! (and by pure coincidence I'm wearing a purple top)

all white?

Suffering from a bad epsiode of Depression this last week, resulting in a panic attack at work (they are so patient with me) and the Negative and tears spewing forth,  I have increased my meds up to try and combat it. I know they are starting to work as I am now feeling rather spaced out. (in a good way!). I should get used to the higher doseage soon.....

To occupy myself I made a card, ironically as the colour associated with Depression is black, I plumped for a challenge using white on white. Sounds simple. It wasn't.

Anyhoo, after two false starts, this is the card I came up with, the topper being part of one of the others I scrapped.

Middleton top - middleton moor circular

This walk was again lovely, the weather looked iffy, but the dark clouds just looked menancing and when it was time to picnic, the sun came out. It was only 4 miles, and we picniced back at Middleton Top before we got back to the car. We didn't seem to be walking very long, but looking at the map, it was quite a way! the instructions can be found HERE and its walk 1.
It was quite easy to follow till it got to the buildings of Middleton Mine - they'd all been demolished but it was common sense to which was the 'main' entrance road onto the site which we had to head towards.
Lovely views which you don't get too see if you stay Carsington side/on middleton top trail.

the moor was covered in Cowslips, I have never seen sooooooo many.

the colours of Fall

Over on Peel-off-crazy, May's Monthly Make theme was Fall/or colours of Fall, I was thinking about an altered matchbox but hadn't really given myself enough time to do it in, so stuck with a card.

the colours come together nice, but the blue stands out, it reminds me of those cards that little corner shops used to sell with random images on, which didn't quite match the card, which old aunties or grannies used to send on a birthday. (no offence meant to any old aunties or grannies reading this post! I'm thinking circa 1978ish!)
