My uncle's birthday is looming. As he is a keen (and very good!) photographer I wanted to use one of his photo's for his card. I used a particular favourite of mine, knowing that it would fit with the Steam Stock digikit I had.

Now just need to find some nice card stock to print it on.... with the gales and the rain we've had just lately, we've ended up with a few broken rooftiles, crumbling pointing, a soggy carpet and two damp walls.
The Council have been and inspected the damage, and have declared 'scaffolding needs ordering'. What happened to the good old days when one man and his very long ladder came along and fixed stuff???

Hence all my craft stuff is piled to one side out the way, waiting for dryer climes.
Totally ironic random fact: we have scaffolding on the front of our house ready for new fascia's to be fitted on the guttering.......

We will match both sides soon.

playing around with CAP yesterday afternoon, themed to a challenge on DaisyTrail. This is a 12x12 scrapbook page. you had to:
1) use a background from a kit
2) insert a photo with no frame
3) cluster 1 or 2 lots of embellishments on the page
4) use text to name your page, or explain it.

I had lots of fun doing mine:

Back to my normal bling style of card. All bits were from Debbi Moore - of course!
Pity I didn't notice that one of the stars had fallen off till after I took the photo *lol* Went a bit mad with the chameleon glitter methinks.
and also two male themed birthday cards:

I've used the photo before, one for my dad a few posts earlier, I love this image, totally random thing to come across when out for a walk. One day we will go back and stay at the campsite.

This is done with a vintage image from 'The Graphics Fairy'. Look closely and a hidden message is revealed; could it lead to treasure or is it a long lost love letter hidden away?

Decided to go with a garden theme as spent last weekend planting cabbage. brussels, cauliflowers and peas outside, and in the green house courgettes, tomatoes, peppers and 3 cascading Strawberry plants to hang on the patio (hopefully). Never mind green fingers, they were soil black by the time we had finished! *lol*
And Quinn helped too ;)

I've started to miss participating in the challenges on my crafting groups now, but I'm not ready to rejoin them just yet, so I decided to have a looksee at Daisy Trail's. "In a word" caught my eye, this week the word is Graceful..... after a couple of hours, yes really, have I ever explained how indecisive and finnicky I am? I came up with this scrapbook page.
.

The image comes from The Graphics Fairy, and again I used Inkblot Butterflies.
This was designed for Delia's birthday, using Debbi Moore 'Shabby chic vintage flowers'. I put the background paper inside the acetate card, then decoupaged individual flowers onto the front to give a 3d effect. The whole card stands up as an oval.

A card made using offcuts of paper and patterned acetate. It looks much better in real life *lol*
