Trying to get back onto my crafty bus, missed it a couple of times but this time lucky.
A scrapbook page featuring spots and stripes done for Digitally sweet Challenges,
This is 100% digital, done using Craft Artist2
featuring our Dax, sadly passed now, but one of the most loyal, lovable, trustworthy dogs anyone would love to meet. We used to do agility with her and she loved it, winning a few competitions. She also loved flyball - where they run/jump over little hurdles as fast as they can to get the ball at the other end and then return over the hurdles, she was never trained to do it, she just saw the hurdles and ran much to the amazement of the trainer who then wanted Dax on the team. Our next door neighbours little boy Jack, used to love it when he 'took' her for a walk - she walked at the side of him with no lead - under instruction from us - and Jack thought it was magical. Mind you, his mum told him that our Boxer had a scrunched up face as he had run into something when he was a pup and he believed her!

chalkboard technique
Due to my dad taking ill, I haven't crafted or blogged for a couple of days. This card was for the Merry Monday challenge from last week, but never got entered. The challenge was to use the Chalkboard Technique, which was something I'd never heard of. After purchasing white ink and clear embossing powder I gave it a go.
I kept in really simple as I didn't know how it would turn out, I will do some more but when I have found some white embossing powder.
I kept in really simple as I didn't know how it would turn out, I will do some more but when I have found some white embossing powder.
Using a white pigment ink pad I stamped the HoHoHo onto the black card and then tipped the clear embossing powder over it, waited a few seconds then used my heat gun.
If I had used white embossing powder the words would be more prominent.
To make it look a bit 'dusty' I smudged the white ink, gently, round the card using a bit of sponge.

Head Shot
Finally managed to finish my atc for this weeks challenge, started it yesterday morning and had to leave it and go back to bed. Still feeling rough with the dreaded Flu, wish it would go.

Santa
My Santa card is one for the kiddiewinks and big kids everywhere.
I was gifted a huge pack of decoupage sheets and this was just one of many Christmas ones in the bag.
This can be personalised as there are a couple of pieces of the penguin holding the card, which would be so special for any recipient.

Colour challenge
Over on fripperies and butterflies blog, the colour challenge for Jan into Feb is:
normally I do a digital project, mostly because I leave it too late to do anything else and I can't think of anything else to do. This month I've been on the ball, despite having a really, really rotten flu virus, which is now in the coughing stage - suffered the head exploding stage, then the sore throat stage, then the lost voice stage...... can't be many stages left!
Anyway onto the project. Taking inspiration from various vintage digital works featuring post cards, I decided to do a physical piece.
the address is 23 Boythorpe Road, Brampton, Chesterfield and was posted at 6.45pm on the 11th of September 1929!

Le Suh traditional decoupage (I'd forgot how fiddly it is!)
