best friends forever

I  think this is one of the best cards I've made, really don't want to give it away, but I made it for a friends birthday and she must have it!

Crich - South Wingfield circular walk

Last weekend (when it was summer!) we went for a 6 mile walk with the 2 doggies, Quinn (collie) and Murtle (beagle).

trying to catch Murtle looking towards the camera is impossible!

loads of BlueBells in the ancient hedgerows, normally flowered and withered by now

where the first half of the walk takes you to - the ruins of Wingfield Manor & the old farm

a corner of the Manor

walking away from Wingfield Manor

Wingfield Manor is now run by English Heritage and in its previous life was the 'prison' of Mary queen of Scots for at least three times.

Lovely walk over some previously unexplored countryside, great views and we ended the day with a lovely coffee at Crich tearooms.

(walk available from derbyshire peakdistrict  and its the crich walk)

a-hoy there

white 5x5 cardstock
all papers/embellies/stamp/sentiment by Emma Ball
promarkers
watercolour pencils
white card
red card
foam pads

This is the first time I've watercoloured, its not perfect but I think it looks okay and matches the washed effect of the background paper.
Stamped the boat image three times using Stazon black ink onto the white card and then used two different blue w/colour pencils for the sea, where the waves are I went over them with Artic Blue promarker. Promarkered the sails then layered the picture onto a small piece of red card. Cut the bunting and also the lighthouse out and then stuck everyhting onto the card, then finally stamped the sentiment in the corner. I really love how it all turned out.

Hoppy birthday

Decided to do some decoupage, not done any for yonks. I find it soooo theraputic. Although with Min-Moo (our 8th month old kitty cat, real name Minnie) jumping on the desk I had to be careful with the blade. Else we would be whiskerless, not sure if that would be the card or the cat.

Used:
Hot Diggity Dog designer decoupage image
Nitwits backing paper
(Striped from Cookin' Cookies
other paper from Spring Whimsy)
buttons

Went with a dark brown cardstock as I found that I had run out of white.... eeek! which ended up going well with the green papers and I also used recycled buttons. Totally green!

no kindle here!

Over at Peel-off-crazy, our monthly make for April theme was Flowers. Following the groups only guideline - a peel off somewhere on it. I spotted these lovely stickers down at The Range in Chesterfield, on my way back from work and thought these would be perfect for a bookmark.
